Junior Accountant
Job Description
Job Summary:
The Junior Accountant at 77 Media Services Company will support the finance team by handling day-to-day accounting tasks, maintaining accurate financial records, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. This role involves assisting in financial reporting, reconciliations, and tax filings while gaining hands-on experience in corporate accounting.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Reporting and Transactions:
- Assist in preparing financial statements and reports.
- Support monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing activities.
- Process invoices, payments, and expense reports.
General Ledger and Reconciliations:
- Record journal entries and maintain general ledger accounts.
- Perform bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
- Assist in maintaining accurate records of accounts payable and receivable.
Compliance and Tax Support:
- Help ensure compliance with GAAP, IFRS, and local financial regulations.
- Assist in preparing and filing tax returns and other regulatory reports.
- Support external and internal audit processes.
Intercompany Transactions & Financial Support:
- Assist in tracking intercompany transactions and reconciliations.
- Help with the allocation of shared expenses and revenues among subsidiaries.
- Support budgeting and financial forecasting activities.
Financial Systems and Process Improvement:
- Maintain financial documentation and support automation of accounting processes.
- Use accounting software and tools efficiently.
Job Requirement
Qualifications & Skills:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Experience: 0-2 years of experience in accounting or finance (internships or entry-level roles preferred).
- Skills:
- Basic knowledge of GAAP, IFRS, and accounting principles.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, ZohoBooks) and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word).
- Strong numerical and analytical skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills.
